For example, <span style="font-variant:small-caps">Ctrl-H</span><span style="font-variant:small-caps"> C</span> will show what function a key carries out, <span style="font-variant:small-caps">Ctrl-H</span><span style="font-variant:small-caps"> i</span> will run <span style="font-weight:bold">jed</span>’s info reader, <span style="font-variant:small-caps">Ctrl-H f</span> will give help on a particular <span style="font-weight:bold">S-Lang</span> function, etc. However, some modes may use the <span style="font-variant:small-caps">Ctrl-H</span> key for something else. For example, if EDT mode is in effect, then <span style="font-variant:small-caps">Ctrl-H</span> may be bound to <code class="verb">bol</code> which causes the cursor to move to the beginning of the line.
